FRONTLINE TRI-ACT solution for spot-on dogs is a drug in pipettes that are used by skin application on dogs weighing between 10 and 20 kg. This drug pipettes FRONTLINE TRI-ACT combine fipronil and permethrin that allow the treatment and prevention of infestations by fleas and ticks. FRONTLINE TRI-ACT also has a repellent action against sandflies which are the cause of leishmaniasis, mosquitoes and biting flies.

  • Target species : dog
  • 1 pipette FRONTLINE TRI-ACT Dogs of 2 ml for cutaneous application on dogs weighing between 10 and 20 kg.
  • Parasite diseases sensitive to fipronil.
  • Treatment and prevention of infestations by fleas and / or ticks when a repellent activity (anti-gorging) is necessary against sandflies, biting flies and / or mosquitoes.
  • Treatment and prevention of flea infestations by Ctenocephalides felis and prevention of flea infestations by Ctenocephalides canis. The drug kills C. felis fleas already present within 24 hours. Treatment prevents new flea infestations for 4 weeks. The drug can be integrated into a treatment strategy for the control of flea bite allergy dermatitis, when this has been previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.
  • The drug has a repulsive effect against ticks (Dermacentor reticulatus) from 7 days to 4 weeks after treatment. Nevertheless, isolated ticks may attach and detach in the first 24 hours after infestation.
  • The drug has immediate acaricidal efficacy against Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus, but if ticks are present when the drug is applied, they may not all be killed within 48 hours of treatment.
  • The drug can be incorporated into a treatment program for Flea Bite Allergic Dermatitis (FBAD), after diagnosis by the veterinarian.
  • The drug has a persistent acaricidal efficacy against ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) for 4 weeks.
  • The drug has a repulsive efficacy (anti-gorging) for 3 weeks against sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and for 4 weeks against mosquitoes (Culex pipiens). The drug has a residual insecticidal effect for 3 weeks against sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus).
  • The drug repels and kills stable flies (Stomoxys calcitrans) for 5 weeks.

Contraindications:

  • Do not use in sick or convalescent animals.
  • This medicine is intended for dogs only Do not use in cats and rabbits, as sometimes lethal side effects may occur.
  • Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients (see also the section "Special precautions for use in animals").

Adverse reactions (frequency and severity):

  • Among the very rarely suspected adverse reactions, transient skin reactions at the application site (skin discoloration, local hair loss, itching, redness) and general itching or hair loss have been reported after use. Excessive salivation, reversible nervous signs (increased sensitivity to stimulation, hyperactivity, muscle tremor, depression, other nervous signs) or vomiting have also been observed after use.
  • If the application site is licked, transient hypersalivation and vomiting may be observed.
