Biogaran Cetirizine 10 mg Allergic rhinitis & chronic urticaria 7 Tablets

Biogaran Cetirizine 10 mg Allergic rhinitis & chronic urticaria 7 Tablets is indicated, in adults and children aged 6 and over, for :

- the treatment of nasal and ocular symptoms of seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis;

- the treatment of symptoms of chronic urticaria (chronic idiopathic urticaria).

Medical advice is recommended for chronic idiopathic urticaria.

You should consult your doctor if you do not feel any improvement or if you feel worse after 3 days.

Directions for use Biogaran Cetirizine 10 mg Allergic rhinitis & chronic urticaria 7 Tablets

Adults and adolescents over 12: The recommended dose is 10 mg once a day, i.e. 1 tablet.

Children aged 6 to 12: The recommended dose is 5 mg twice a day, i.e. half a tablet twice a day.

Renal insufficiency: In patients with moderate renal insufficiency, the recommended dose is 5 mg once a day.

Warnings and precautions

If you have renal insufficiency, ask your doctor for advice; if necessary, take a lower dose. The appropriate dosage will be determined by your doctor.

If you have problems urinating (due to spinal cord, bladder or prostate problems), ask your doctor for advice.

If you have epilepsy or are at risk of convulsions, ask your doctor for advice.

No specific interaction has been observed between cetirizine used at recommended doses and alcohol (up to the blood alcohol concentration of 0.5 per thousand (g/l) corresponding to a glass of wine). However, no data are available on the concomitant use of higher doses of cetirizine and alcohol. Therefore, as with other antihistamines, it is advisable to avoid taking alcohol with CETIRIZINE BIOGARAN CONSEIL.

If you have to undergo tests to diagnose an allergy (e.g. skin test), you should stop taking this medicine at least 3 days beforehand, as it may alter the results. Ask your doctor what you should do before taking an allergy test.

Core: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal anhydrous silica, corn starch, talc, magnesium stearate.

Film coating: OPADRY white [hypromellose (E464), lactose monohydrate, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 4000, sodium citrate].
