Description:
- Macrocytic anemias due to folic acid deficiency.
- Chronic disorders of intestinal absorption whatever their origin.
- Intake deficiencies: malnutrition, ethylism.
- Pregnancy, in case of proven deficiency.
- In women who have already had children with neural tube defects (spina bifida), some authors have found that periconceptional folic supplementation of 5 mg per day in the month before and 3 months after conception reduced the recurrence of malformative risk in subsequent pregnancies.
Nevertheless, ante-natal diagnosis for this type of malformation remains essential.

Composition
For one tablet
The active substance is:
Folic acid 5 mg
The other components are:
Lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
Folic acid hypersensitivity
Lactase deficiency
Galactose malabsorption syndrome
Glucose malabsorption syndrome
Galactose intolerance
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients mentioned in the Composition section.
Precautions for use
The use of this medicinal product is not recommended in patients with galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose or galactose malabsorption syndrome (rare hereditary diseases).
