The 3M™ Steri-Strip™ suture promotes rapid, aesthetic healing of superficial wounds.

3M™ Steri-Strip™ Reinforced Adhesive Skin Sutures are the first adhesive sutures, with a non-woven microporous backing to let the skin breathe, and reinforced filaments for added strength.

These strip-shaped sutures are the equivalent of staples or threads for minor surgical procedures. These microporous strips are composed of polyester fibers and a hypoallergenic adhesive, which bring skin tissues together to close small wounds.

They feature a hypo-allergenic adhesive layer made of synthetic acrylic with high adhesive power.

The adhesive is pressure-sensitive for greater stickiness.

Instructions for use Steristrip 6 x 75 mm First Aid Adhesive Cutaneous Sutures Box of 3

Make sure the wound has stopped bleeding, is clean and free of foreign bodies.

Clean the skin at least 5 cm around the wound, then dry thoroughly.

Open the plastic bag, remove the skin sutures and detach one of the pre-cut tabs from the paper backing. To prevent the strips from curling, detach them from the backing at a 45° angle.

Place the first half of a suture on an edge in the middle of the wound and press firmly. Bring the wound edges together, facing each other.

Place, without stretching, the second half of the suture on the other edge and press firmly.

Finish closing the wound with further strips spaced 2 to 3 mm apart to allow drainage of exudate.

To remove skin sutures when the wound has healed, alternately detach each end, then gently remove the entire strip.

Precautions for use :

Store in a cool, dry place.

Sterile until opened or pouch damaged.
