Per 100 g of topical cream:

Lidocaine hydrochloride ......1.00 g ==> Local anesthetic: slightly numbs the area to instantly relieve pain and discomfort.

Mefenidramium methylsulfate ......2.00 g ==> H1 antihistamine: reduces the local allergic reaction and stops the urge to scratch.

Excipients with known effects: Cetyl alcohol, propylene glycol.

Other excipients: Self-emulsifying cetyl alcohol, diethylene glycol stearate, rose fragrance 449S (containing geraniol, phenylethyl alcohol, cedar essential oil, patchouli, etc.), purified water.

How to apply Onctose cream?

Route of administration: For topical use only.

Usual Dosage: Apply once 2 to 3 times a day to the itchy area.

Directions for Use: Apply a thin layer of cream and massage gently to help it absorb.

Hygiene: Wash your hands thoroughly after each application.

Duration of treatment: Do not use for more than 8 days without medical advice.

Contraindications & Precautions

Contraindications

Never use Onctose cream in the following cases:

History of allergy or sensitivity to local anesthetics or antihistamines.

Application to infected or irritated skin conditions.

Application to weeping lesions or open wounds.

Special Precautions

Face and eyes: Avoid applying near the eyes and mucous membranes. In children, limit application to the face to prevent accidental contact with the eyes.

Large areas: Do not apply to large areas of the body or under occlusive dressings (risk of systemic absorption of the active ingredients).

Pregnancy and breastfeeding: In the absence of sufficient clinical data, the use of Onctose is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women without prior medical advice.

Athletes: Caution: The formula contains an active ingredient that may cause a positive result during doping tests.

Does Onctose cream contain cortisone?

No. Onctose 48g tube is a cortisone-free cream. It combines an antihistamine and a local anesthetic. If you are looking for a formula containing a mild corticosteroid, there is the medication Onctose Hydrocortisone.

Can Onctose be used on young children?

Onctose cream can be used starting at 30 months of age. For children under 30 months, consult your pharmacist or pediatrician for a suitable product.

What should you do if the itching persists despite applying the cream?

Itching is only a symptom. If the itching does not subside after a few days of use or is accompanied by widespread redness, warmth, or pus, stop treatment and consult your doctor.
