Flector Effigel is an anti-inflammatory analgesic (or pain-relieving) gel for the treatment of sprains, strains and bruises (injuries to a part of the body that cause invisible pain).
Contains Diclofenac (INN) sodium (1g/100g) as diclofenac epolamine (anti-inflammatory): 1.293 g/100g).
Excipients (substances other than the active substance in the medicinal product): macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate (derived from castor oil), macrogol stearate, soya lecithin, polymerised acrylic acid, sodium hydroxide, isopropanol, floral fragrance PH (Benzyl acetate, phenylethyl alcohol, hydroxycitronellal, petit grain oil Paraguay, cinnamic alcohol, propylene glycol, methyl benzoate), purified water.
Notable excipients: castor oil, propylene glycol, methyl benzoate
This medicine should not be used under an occlusive dressing.
Do not apply to mucous membranes or the eyes. Apply only to the painful area.
If a rash appears after application, the treatment should be stopped immediately.
This medicine contains propylene glycol and may cause skin reactions.
Due to the presence of methyl benzoate (an organic compound consisting of at least two different chemical elements), this medicine may cause irritation to the skin, eyes and mucous membranes
Apply the gel 3 times a day for a maximum of 4 days.
Method of administration Topical, for external use only, for adults and children over 15 years of age.
Massage the gel gently into the painful or inflammatory area for a long time. Wash your hands after each use
This medicine is contraindicated in the following cases:
- hypersensitivity (allergy) to diclofenac (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug), to substances with similar activity such as other NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), aspirin or to one of the excipients contained in FlectorEffigel
- from the 6th month of pregnancy
- in case of damaged skin, whatever the lesion may be oozing dermatoses (skin diseases without prejudice to their location, appearance or origin), eczema (pruritic dermatosis characterised by a non-contagious inflammation of the skin which is accompanied by redness, fine vesicles, scales and itching), infected lesion, burn or wound.
