Virpax 50 mg aciclovir Fever blister 2 tablets is an antiviral medication used to treat recurrent cold sores caused by the Herpes simplex virus.
It is suitable for use by adults with a properly functioning immune system.
Virpax 50 mg aciclovir tablet is placed on the gum. It comes in the form of a muco-adhesive buccogingival tablet. It should be used as soon as the first symptoms or signs appear.
Carefully follow the instructions in the leaflet or those of your doctor or pharmacist. Above all, check with them if in doubt.
The recommended dosage is 1 tablet to be stuck directly on the gum once a day, and only once per cold sore episode.
This medication should be used within one hour of the onset of the first signs or symptoms of cold sores
The tablet must not be taken orally (swallowed), as it is a muco-adhesive tablet. Nor should it be sucked or chewed.
When applied to the mucous membrane, the tablet will gradually dissolve over the course of the day, releasing its active ingredients.
Once the tablet has adhered, it can be eaten or drunk.
