When is ELUDRIL mouthwash prescribed?
This mouthwash solution contains antiseptics.
It is used in the adjunctive treatment of mouth diseases or after dental or gum surgery.

Warning
Prolonged use of local antiseptic treatments (gargle, mouthwash, lozenge) is not desirable; it can modify the natural microbial balance of the throat.
If there is no improvement after 5 days or if a fever appears, consult your doctor.
Interactions of ELUDRIL mouthwash with other substances
It is generally not necessary to combine different antiseptics. These may be contained in many products available for self-medication: lozenges, mouthwash and nasal solution; ask your pharmacist for advice.
Fertility, pregnancy and breastfeeding
The effect of this medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding is not well known. The assessment of the possible risk associated with its use is individual: ask your pharmacist or doctor for advice.
Instructions for use and dosage of ELUDRIL mouthwash
Wash your teeth before use. Pour 10 to 15 ml into the measuring cup and fill to the top with warm water. Use the entire contents of the measuring cup as a mouthwash. Keep the solution in your mouth for 30 seconds before spitting it out.
The solution should not be swallowed.
Usual dosage :

Adult and child over 6 years: 1 mouthwash, 2 or 3 times daily.
The duration of treatment should not exceed 2 weeks without medical advice.
Advice
It is generally advisable not to eat or drink immediately after a mouthwash, to allow the active substances to act.
Some dentists and stomatologists recommend not to use mouthwash in the hours following a tooth extraction, to avoid bleeding the wound.
