Hexomedin Solution Spray 75 ml

Description:

Its active substance is hexamidine diisetionate, dosed at 0.100 g per 100 ml of solution.

The other components of its formula are alcohol, glacial acetic acid, sodium acetate and purified water.

The propellant is nitrogen

HOW TO DISINFECT A WOUND WITH HEXOMEDINE?

2 to 3 times a day, the solution should be sprayed on the lesion or lesions to be treated.

The bottle should be held in an upright position, with the head up or down

It is not necessary to rinse after applying the solution

CONTRAINDICATIONS TO THE USE OF HEXOMEDINE

This drug should not be used in cases of antisepsis with sampling (injection or puncture), disinfection of medical-surgical equipment, or allergy to hexamidine derivatives

In addition, it should not be applied to mucous membranes, over a large area, under an occlusive dressing, on injured skin (especially burns), or on the skin of infants or premature babies

Hexomedine is for external use only

The bottle should not be kept open for too long, as microbial contamination is possible after the first use of this medicine

You should avoid using different antiseptics with Hexomedine at the same time or in succession (e.g. the use of soap beforehand, followed by careful rinsing).
