Description:

It comes in the form of dispersible tablets, which means that they can be dissolved in a little water or sucked for easy ingestion, especially in younger people.

The active substance of this medicine is paracetamol, with a dose of 250 mg per tablet. The other ingredients are butyl methacrylate basic copolymer, 30% polyacrylate dispersion, colloidal hydrophobic silica, mannitol (granulated, powder), crospovidone, aspartam (E951), banana flavour, magnesium stearate.

DOSAGE OF EFFERALGANMED 250 MG

The dosage of this children's medicine is determined according to the weight of the subject:

Children weighing between 13 and 20 kg (corresponding to an age between 2 and 7 years), will take 1 tablet per intake, to be renewed if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 4 tablets per day.

Children weighing between 21 and 25 kg (corresponding to an age between 6 and 10 years) will take 1 tablet per dose, to be repeated if necessary after 4 hours, but not exceeding 6 tablets per day.

Children weighing between 26 and 40 kg (i.e. between 8 and 13 years of age) will take 2 tablets per dose, to be repeated if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 8 tablets per day.

Finally, children weighing between 41 and 50 kg (i.e. between 12 and 15 years of age), will take 2 tablets per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 12 tablets per day.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE :

The use of Efferalgan 250 mg is not allowed if the subject has allergies to paracetamol or any of its components. Please read the instructions carefully before ingestion. The same applies if the patient suffers from severe liver disease or phenylketonuria (a hereditary disease detected at birth), due to aspartam.

Consult a doctor as a priority in the following cases:

  • Weight under 50 kg,
  • Liver disease,
  • Chronic alcoholism,
  • Chronic malnutrition,
  • Dehydration.
  • Serious kidney disease.

Finally, this medicine requires medical advice before any ingestion in case of breastfeeding, pregnancy or planning.
