Description:

The active ingredients of this medicine are calcium carbonate at 500 mg and cholecalciferol at 1000 IU (25 micrograms).

DOSAGE OF OROCAL 500 MG/1000 IU

The recommended dosage for Orocal 500 mg/1000 IU is 1 chewable tablet per day. This medicine is not approved for use in children and adolescents.

PRECAUTIONS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS

Check that you are not allergic to any of the active ingredients or components of the formula before taking Orocal 500 mg/1000 IU. It is also not to be taken if you suffer from severe kidney disorders or stones or if your blood levels of calcium and vitamin D are sufficient.

A medical opinion is in any case essential for any prescription, and more particularly if you are subject to a long-term treatment, if you take diuretics (frequent in case of hypertension) or digitalis (in case of cardiac disorders).
