Description:
The active compound is chlorhexidine digluconate (1.5 g per 100 ml of solution).
Other components are: alkanamidopropyl betaine, copra fatty acid diethanolamine, polyalkene glycol 3000, sodium edetate, pine fragrance, purified water.
DOSAGE:
This solution is intended to be applied to the skin and is used pure or diluted with water.
In pure use, Septivon will be used to brush small lesions and to wash an area of your skin.
Diluted, the Septivon solution is used to wash an area of your skin with 3 caps of Septivon for 1 litre of water, to soak an area of your skin (3 caps of Septivon for 2 litres of water), or for women to wash the vulva (3 caps of Septivon for 1 litre of water).
It is important to rinse the treated area after use.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS :
In case of allergy to chlorhexidine or to one of the constituents of Septivon, to disinfect medical-surgical equipment, antiseptic for the eyes, ears in case of tympanic perforation, Septivon is contraindicated.
Contamination is possible as soon as the bottle is opened, especially when the volume of the bottle is greater than 250 ml, so it is advisable to keep it for a shorter period of time.
Septivon must be used with care, especially on large areas of skin, under a waterproof and airtight dressing, on deeply burned skin and on the skin of premature babies or infants. There is a risk that the active substance will enter the bloodstream.
Septivon antiseptic solution should not be used together with other local antiseptics because of the risk of therapeutic ineffectiveness.
Pre-washing with soap is possible, however, clean the area thoroughly before using Septivon.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and if you are taking other medicines.
