Description:
Normally, the cornea of the eye is protected and moistened by tears. These are spread on its surface by the blinking of the eyelids. But diseases, taking certain medications, exposure to polluted or air-conditioned air, cigarette smoke, looking at a computer screen for a long time or simply age can lead to eye dryness. It occurs when tear production is insufficient or impaired. The eyes sting and become sensitive to light. At night, tear production naturally decreases, resulting in a feeling of dry eyes at night. When you wake up, your eyelids may feel like they are stuck together
Xailin Night Lubricating Eye Ointment is used at bedtime. It is formulated to soothe these unpleasant sensations. It contains vaseline, paraffin and lanolin alcohols which form a transparent film on the surface of the eye. It has a lubricating action and it will also retain moisture. Thus, it effectively relieves the sensations of dry eyes at night.
Directions for use:
Apply a ribbon of ointment of approximately 1 cm in each eye
- Wash and dry hands before use
- Remove the safety ring to break the tamper evidence
- Remove outer cap.
- Remove contact lenses if worn
- Tilt your head back and look up
- Gently pull the lower eyelid down to expose a small space between the eye and the eyelid
- Hold the tube between the thumb and middle finger of the other hand. Hold the tube vertically over the eye and try not to touch the eye with the tip
- Apply enough pressure to release a ribbon of ointment about 1 cm long, or as directed by the physician or pharmacist
- Blink repeatedly
- A second ribbon should be applied if the eye is not reached
- Carefully wipe off any excess ointment around the eyelid with a tissue
- Repeat for the other eye, if necessary.
- Screw the cap back on without touching the tip
- Wait at least 30 minutes before administering any other ophthalmic medication
If eye problems persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist
Precautions for use:
- Do not use if the tamper evident ring is not intact.
- Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
- Do not use with contact lenses.
- Do not share this ointment with anyone else
- This product causes brief blurring of vision after application. Wait until normal vision is restored before driving or operating machinery. May cause a temporary burning sensation
- Do not use beyond the expiry date
- Store between 1 and 25°C.
- Discard contents 60 days after first opening.
- Keep out of sight and reach of children
- Do not swallow.
Composition :
White Vaseline 57,3 % w/w.
Liquid paraffin 42,5 % w/w.
Lanolin alcohols 0,2 % w/w.
