Composition of the medicine DESOMEDINE eye drops

Hexamidine di-istionate 10 mg 0.6 mg
Active substance: Hexamidine di-istionate
Excipients: Boric acid, Purified water, Sodium borate, Sodium chloride

Contraindications of the drug DESOMEDINE eye drops

This drug should not be used in case ofallergy to hexamidine.

Warning

Redness or pain in the eye is not necessarily a sign of infection. Urgent care may be needed, especially in cases of blurred vision.

This treatment alone may not be sufficient to cure an eye infection: do not use it for more than a few days without medical advice.

The eye drops may be contaminated by the infected eye: avoid touching the tip of the bottle to the eye. Do not store the 10 ml bottle for more than 30 days after initial use. Single-dose vials should be discarded immediately after use.

Drug interactions of DESOMEDINE eye drops with other substances

This eye drop may interact with other eye drops. Observe a minimum interval of 15 minutes between instillations.

Fertility, pregnancy and lactation

The effect of this drug during pregnancy or lactation is not known. The assessment of the possible risk associated with its use is individual: ask your pharmacist or doctor for advice.

Instructions for use and dosage of DESOMEDINE eye drops

Pull the lower eyelid downwards while looking upwards and place the drops of eye drops between the eyelid and the eyeball(conjunctival cul-de-sac).

Usual dosage:

2 drops, 4 to 6 times a day.

Advice

Contact lenses should not be worn in case of eye infection or reused until the treatment has been completely stopped.

The correct application of the product may require assistance, especially for children, the disabled or elderly.
