Metopimazine Viatris Conseil 7.5 mg Sugar-free 8 Orodispersible tablets is an anti-emetic drug. It is indicated for the short-term treatment of nausea and vomiting when not accompanied by fever. It is intended for adults and children over 6 years of age.

Dosage of Viatris Metopimazine 7.5 mg sugar-free orodispersible tablets
Dosage should be adjusted according to the intensity of digestive disorders and the patient's schedule.
Treatment should be stopped as soon as symptoms disappear.
Do not exceed 2 days' treatment without medical advice.
For adults, the maximum recommended daily dose is 30 mg. This corresponds to 4 tablets. These tablets should be taken 4 times a day. Take 1 tablet at the onset of symptoms, and repeat if necessary if symptoms persist or reappear.
For children over 6, the maximum recommended daily dose is 15 mg: 2 tablets, divided into 2 doses per day. Take 1 tablet at the onset of symptoms, and repeat if symptoms persist or reappear.
Tablets are taken orally. The tablet should be placed on the tongue and not chewed.
A minimum interval of 4 to 6 hours should be observed between 2 administrations. Take preferably 15 minutes before meals.
Precautions for use of Metopimazine 7.5 mg Viatris sugar-free orodispersible tablets
This medicine must never be taken in the event of allergy to its active substance or to one of its components, in the event of glaucoma or in the event of urinary difficulties of prostatic origin.
Consult your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before taking this medicine.
Take care not to combine this medicine with others containing metopimazine, so as not to exceed the maximum recommended daily dose.
Overdosage may cause drowsiness or dizziness in the elderly, or in cases of severe liver or kidney disease. Discontinue use and consult your doctor.
If you take too much of this medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
Consumption of alcoholic beverages during treatment is not recommended.
Use the drop form in children under 6 years of age.
If nausea and vomiting persist for more than 2 days, or if there is a lack of efficacy, or if other symptoms occur, do not continue to take this medicine without consulting your doctor or pharmacist.
To avoid possible interactions, inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other treatment you are taking.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you might be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. It should only be used in the absence of therapeutic alternatives.
Driving a car or operating machinery: risk of drowsiness. Exercise extreme caution.
Quantity of aspartam per dose: 2 mg. Aspartam is a source of phenylalanine and may be dangerous for people suffering from phenylketonuria.

The active substance in this medicine is metopimazine. One tablet contains 7.5 mg. Excipients include glycerol dibehenate, colloidal silica anhydrous, mint flavoring, aspartam (E951), crospovidone type A, microcrystalline cellulose, mannitol (E451) and magnesium stearate.
