Description Carbocisteine 2% Mylan sugar free children syrup cough 125 ml

Carbocisteine Mylan 2% Children's sugar-free syrup, drinkable solution sweetened with liquid maltitol and sorbitol, is a medicine for thinning bronchial secretions, indicated for coughing up mucus.

This syrup is indicated in case of bronchial congestion in particular during acute episodes of bronchitis.

Conditioning : Bottle of 125 ml

Carbocisteine (2,00 g for 100 ml).

The other components are : Methyl parahydroxybenzoate, cochineal red A, liquid maltitol, sorbitol, strawberry flavor, sodium hydroxide, purified water.

List of excipients : Sodium, liquid maltitol, cochineal red A (E124) and methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218). This syrup does not contain sugar and is therefore suitable for people on a low-calorie diet.

One dose corresponds to the 5 ml graduation of the syringe for oral administration corresponds to 100 mg of carbocisteine.

Dosage Carbocistein 2% Mylan sugar-free children's cough syrup 125 ml

The dosage for children over 5 years of age is 300 mg per day, divided into morning, noon and evening, i.e. a dose of 5 ml 3 times a day.

The dosage for children aged 2 to 5 years is 200 mg per day, in 2 doses, i.e. a dose of 5 ml twice a day.

Do not exceed 8 to 10 days of treatment without medical advice from your doctor. If the symptoms persist, consult your doctor.

Do not double up on Carbocistein 2% Mylan if you forget to take it.

Contraindications of this syrup for children

An allergy to one of the constituents and in the infant of less than 2 years, because of the risk of bronchial congestion, contra-indicates the catch of Carbocisteine 2% Mylan syrup for children.

Medical advice is necessary in the event of fatty or purulent sputum or if the patient has a chronic (long-term) disease of the bronchi and lungs.

During this treatment, it is not advisable to take cough medicine or medicines that dry up bronchial secretions or other specialities containing carbocistein.
