Gynopura Gé LP 150 mg is a medication indicated for the local treatment of fungal infections (conditions caused by microscopic fungi) of the vulva and vagina, which may sometimes be complicated by a secondary bacterial infection.
Packaging: box of 2 extended-release ovules.
Dosage:
In most cases, take 1 ovule, preferably at bedtime, as a single dose.
In some cases, your doctor may prescribe 1 ovule in the evening and 1 ovule the following morning.
If you feel that the effect of GYNOPURA LP 150 mg is too strong or too weak, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Vaginal route.
Insert the vaginal suppository deeply into the vagina, preferably while lying down. The easiest way to do this is to lie on your back with your knees bent and spread apart.
Practical Tips:
The active ingredient is: Econazole nitrate: 150 mg per ovule.
The other ingredients are: Galactomannan, anhydrous colloidal silica, solid semisynthetic glycerides, stearyl heptanoate.
Do not use Gynopura Gé LP 150 mg in the following cases:
– allergy to any of the product’s ingredients (see composition) or to a related substance (belonging to the imidazole group);
– use with a latex diaphragm.
Take special precautions with Gynopura Gé LP 150 mg:
Local treatment of yeast infections is only one part of the overall treatment. To prevent recurrences, it is essential that your doctor identify any contributing factors.
Do not use soap with an acidic pH for local hygiene, as acidity promotes the growth of fungi (see practical advice in the section: “How to use Gynopura Gé LP 150 mg?”).
This treatment may cause a local burning sensation and increased itching. These symptoms usually subside on their own as treatment continues.
If symptoms persist beyond 24 to 48 hours, consult your doctor.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
This medication should only be used during pregnancy under your doctor’s guidance. If you discover that you are pregnant during treatment, consult your doctor, as only he or she can determine whether to continue treatment.
Breastfeeding is possible while taking this medication.
In general, during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, you should always consult your doctor or pharmacist before using any medication.
Taking or Using Other Medications:
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medication, even if it is an over-the-counter medication.
Do not use with spermicides (risk of inactivation) or with a latex diaphragm (risk of diaphragm rupture).
