How does Fixodent Pro adhesive cream work?
When Fixodent Pro cream adhesive is used, it transforms into a kind of elastic membrane in contact with the saliva naturally present in the mouth. This membrane gives the denture a firm hold, allowing you to bite into food without fear and eat naturally.

1 application is all you need for a strong hold all day long!
Clean and dry dentures thoroughly before applying Fixodent Pro cream.
Apply Fixodent Pro cream to the denture in small lines or a series of dots. The first time, apply a small amount. Don't apply the cream too close to the edge of the denture.
Position the denture, press firmly and hold for a few moments. If the product overflows when you put it in place, you've used too much.
Many denture wearers only apply one application a day. If you need to apply Fixodent Pro cream more than once a day, or if the denture does not fit properly, consult your dentist to check the fit of the denture.
Have your dentist check the fit of your dentures regularly. An ill-fitting denture can have adverse health consequences.
Tip: it may take a few tries to find the right amount of adhesive cream. In the event of overflow, reduce the amount of adhesive cream. Wipe the spout and cap of the tube to prevent clogging.
How long does adhesive cream last?
The duration of hold differs from person to person. However, Fixodent Pro has been designed to last all day.
How do I remove my dentures?
As Fixodent Pro dental adhesive cream absorbs water, the quality of the hold deteriorates. There are several techniques you can use to break the seal that holds the denture to the gums:
For all types of denture, rinse your mouth with warm water or Fixodent Pro mouthwash.
For the lower prosthesis, gently pull the prosthesis out with a rocking motion.
For the upper denture, this may be more difficult due to the larger surface area. Place your thumb against the inside of the front teeth and push upwards, then forwards towards the nose.
If you are unable to remove your denture using these techniques, and don't want to keep it in overnight, go to a hospital emergency department or a 24-hour dental clinic.
ATTENTION: to avoid injury, use only your fingers (not fingernails) to remove the denture.
How do I remove adhesive cream residues?
To remove adhesive cream residues from your denture, use a denture cleaner such as Fixodent Pro.
To remove any adhesive cream residue in your mouth, brush your palate and gums with a soft-bristled brush and toothpaste such as Fixodent Pro.
Then rinse your mouth with lukewarm water or a mouthwash such as Fixodent Pro.
What is the shelf life of Fixodent denture adhesive creams?
The average shelf life is three years when stored at room temperature.
Precautions for use :
Do not use more than 1.25g: if the product overflows when placed in the mouth, you have used too much.
Do not use products more than once a day. With normal use, this tube should last at least 4 weeks.
Do not use excess product if your prosthesis is ill-fitting.
Consult your doctor if you are taking other zinc-containing products.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Do not use if hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.
Storage :
Keep mouthpiece and cap dry to prevent clogging.
If the mouthpiece becomes blocked, open it with a needle.
