Pharmacodynamic properties :
Aminophylline, a member of the methylxanthine family, has diuretic and lactation-inhibiting properties that help dry up milk secretion.
Directions for use Biocanina Reproduction Antilactis Dog and Cat 30 Tablets
1 to 5 mg aminophyll per kg bodyweight per dose, taken orally.
Duration of treatment :
2 doses daily, 12 hours apart, for 5 days.
If necessary, treatment can be continued for a further 5 days.
Dosage :
Small cats and bitches (< 10 kg):
1 tablet per dose.
Medium-sized cats and bitches (up to 30 kg) :
2 tablets per dose.
Large cats and bitches (> 30 kg):
3 tablets per dose.
Undesirable effects (frequency and severity) :

Overdose (symptoms, emergency treatment, antidote if necessary) :

Precautions for use :
Veterinary use.
Oral use.
Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to any of the constituents.
Keep out of reach of children.

Do not combine with ephedrine.
Special precautions for use in animals :
In parallel with medical treatment, it is recommended to impose a diet: a complete diet for 1 day, then a water diet for 48 hours, then a diet for 10 days (usual ration halved, supplemented with green vegetables).
Maternalism should not be encouraged, by stroking the udders or letting the bitch sleep with familiar objects that she considers to be puppies.
If milk secretion does not stop within ten days, or if it reappears, consult a veterinarian.

For 1 film-coated tablet of 200 mg :
Active substance(s) : aminophylline : 20 mg.
Excipients : cascara dry extract, pilosella nebulisate, sage fluid extract, lactose monohydrate, colloidal hydrated silica, talc, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica, calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, povidone, croscarmellose sodium.
Film coating: sepisperse K1009 blue, hypromellose.
