Machoukid is a mouth tray for children aged 6 and over. It is indicated for bruxism (teeth grinding) and weaning from late thumb or pacifier sucking. Machoukid also promotes dental alignment.
The Machoukid mouthpiece is designed to replace the pacifier or thumb, day and night, as soon as the need to suck arises. It helps children with weaning difficulties. Machoukid also facilitates tongue re-education by helping to keep the tongue in a high position in the mouth, thus improving swallowing and promoting palate expansion. It also protects against teeth grinding, or bruxism, a reflex movement that can occur during sleep or when the child is highly concentrated on an activity.
Made from medical-grade silicone, the Machoukid mouthpiece is both flexible and firm. Its buccal plane adapts to all mouths, ensuring natural tooth alignment. What's more, the end-to-end position of the teeth helps reduce snoring and sleep apnea.

Instructions for use Machoukid dental splint for children aged 6 and over
Machoukid is to be worn at night and 1 hour a day during activities (coloring, reading, homework...). In the mouth, Machoukid should be on top. Place the upper teeth first and gently slide the lower teeth into the mouthpiece. Close your lips and place your tongue against the roof of your mouth. Breathe calmly through the nose, clenching teeth to swallow saliva. To clean Machoukid, simply use warm water and neutral soap.
Wearing Machoukid regularly will ensure the success of the treatment. It can be used as part of a comprehensive treatment program (speech therapy, orthodontics, osteopathy, etc.). A minimum of 8 weeks' use is recommended.
Certain effects may be felt by the child from the very first use of Machoukid, such as teeth sensitivity on waking, which disappears within a few minutes. Hypersalivation and a gag reflex are also possible, and are a sign of poor tongue positioning. To get used to this, we recommend wearing Machoukid only during the day.
