This medicine is recommended for colds and nasopharyngitis.
The active substance is:
Polysorbate 80 ......................................................................................... 0.200 g
Benzododecinium bromide monoydrate
expressed as anhydrous benzododecinium bromide .............................. 0.004 g
Per 100 ml of solution.
The other components are:
Sodium chloride, ethyl alcohol 90°, glycerol, purified water.
Directions for use :
Prorhinel Cold Unidoses is used either as a wash or instillation. Open the tip of the container by twisting. Blow your nose beforehand.
Washing:
- Adult: 1 to 3 washings per day with 1/2 to 1 ampoule of 10 ml or 5 ml per nostril.
- Child: 1 to 2 washes per day with 1/2 to 1 ampoule of 5 ml per nostril.
- Infant: 1 wash per day with 1/2 to 1 ampoule of 5 ml per nostril.
Instillation: When a small amount of solution is sufficient. Administer a few drops by applying gentle pressure to the ampoule. Do not blow your nose violently for 10 minutes after administration.
- Adult: 2 to 3 instillations per day.
- Children and infants: 1 to 3 instillations per day.
Nasal route. Do not inject. Do not combine several drugs for nasal use containing an antiseptic.
Contraindications:
This drug is contraindicated in the following situation: Hypersensitivity to any of the components, especially to benzododecinium bromide which is a quaternary ammonium.

Precautions for use:
- Upon opening the package, and a fortiori upon the first use of a preparation for nasal use, microbial contamination is possible.
- The plastic ampoules should not be kept after use.
- The indication does not justify prolonged treatment. In the event of associated general clinical signs, systemic treatment should be considered.
Pregnancy and Lactation :
- Pregnancy: Based on available data, use in pregnant women is possible.
- Nursing: Based on available data, use in nursing mothers is possible.
Adverse reactions:
Local or cutaneous allergic manifestations.

Nasal solution: Polysorbate 80 200 mg/100 ml, Benzododecinium bromide monohydrate, i.e. Benzododecinium bromide anhydrous 4 mg/100 ml. Excipients: Sodium chloride, Ethyl alcohol 90°, Glycerol, Purified water.
Packaging :
Box of 20 sterile single-dose containers of 5 ml.
