Lansoyl framboise gel oral 10 unidoses is a frequently-administered lubricant laxative. The liquid kerosene has a mechanical action, lubricating the contents of the colon and softening stools.
This treatment for occasional constipation is reserved for adults and children over 12.
The package contains 10 unidoses and the active ingredient is liquid kerosene at 11.734 g per unidose. Excipients: sucrose, citric acid monohydrate, gelatin, cochineal red A (E124), aromatic composition, purified water.
For adults and adolescents aged 15 and over, the recommended dose of Lansoyl framboise is one single dose, repeated if necessary 1 to 3 times per 24 hours, up to a maximum of 3 single doses per 24 hours.
For adolescents aged 12 to 15, administration and dosage should be discussed with the doctor. It is generally 1 single-dose dose 1 to 2 times per 24 hours.
The timing of doses is important. We recommend taking it in the morning on an empty stomach, 2 hours before or after meals.
If you take Lansoyl in the evening, you should not lie down within 2 hours of taking it. In this case, the laxative effect of the drug may occur during the night.
It is a treatment for occasional constipation: this laxative can only be taken for 15 days. Longer-term administration may reduce absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K).
If treatment fails, do not increase doses, but seek medical advice.
Overdosage is dangerous: high doses can cause fatty diarrhoea, anal oozing and perianal irritation. If you take too much, stop taking it and consult your doctor,
If you forget to take it, do not take a double dose.
This laxative should not be used before the age of 12.
Lansoyl raspberry oral gel in unidose container is contraindicated in case of allergy to the active substance or to one of the other components, if you have unexplained stomach pains and if you have problems swallowing due to the risk of bronchial inhalation and lipoid pneumonitis, particularly in the elderly and children. Caution should be exercised when using Lansoyl Raspberry in the elderly, bedridden or with swallowing difficulties, as it may cause bronchial and respiratory disorders.
If you are intolerant to certain sugars or fructose, or have glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase/isomaltase deficiency, you should not take Lansoyl; contact your doctor.
The azoic coloring agent (cochineal red A, E 124) contained in this medicine may cause allergic reactions.
As Lansoÿl raspberry oral gel in unidose container contains 2.3 g sucrose per unidose, this must be taken into account when dieting or diabetic.
If you are currently taking or have recently taken any other treatment, even if obtained without a prescription, inform your doctor or pharmacist.
In the event of constipation, dietary and hygienic advice should be implemented in parallel with any treatment. You are advised to take part in sporting activities, drink plenty of fluids, enrich your diet with fiber and re-educate your defecation reflex.
In the event of pregnancy or breast-feeding, medical advice should be sought before use. Lansoyl Raspberry is not recommended for pregnant women, as it may lead to a lack of absorption of certain essential vitamins for your child.
Refer to the leaflet before use, or ask your health care professional for advice.
