Macrogol 4000 EG is intended for adults and children over 8 years of age.
Macrogol 4000 EG is indicated for the treatment of constipation.
Directions for use Macrogol 4000 EG 20 sachets
Adults and children over 8: 1 or 2 sachets a day, preferably as a single morning dose.
1 sachet every other day is sometimes sufficient.
Precautions for Macrogol 4000 EG
Macrogol 4000 EG should not be used in the following cases:
- Inflammatory diseases of the colon (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, etc.),
- Intestinal perforation or risk of perforation,
- Abdominal pain of unknown cause.
- Intestinal obstruction or condition predisposing to obstruction.

As with any medication, Macrogol 4000 EG may cause a number of undesirable effects. These are listed in the package insert.
To avoid drug interactions, tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including those obtained without a prescription.
Pregnant or breast-feeding women should seek advice from their healthcare professional.
If constipation is accompanied by recurrent or prolonged abdominal pain, severe bloating or blood in the stools, do not take this medicine without medical advice.
