Advice
It is advisable to divide the meals, to avoid bending over, to avoid lying down after meals and to wear tight clothes. Raising the head of the bed is recommended.
If you are a smoker, continued smoking is a major hindrance to treatment; nicotine increases gastric acidity and reduces the effectiveness of the muscle that closes the junction between the esophagus and the stomach.
The drinkable suspension should be kept away from heat but should not be put in the refrigerator.
Infant suspension should not be kept for more than 30 days after opening.
Possible side effects of GAVISCON
Constipation.
In case of prolonged use of the oral solution or sachets, at high doses: excess calcium in the blood, renal failure.
