Therapeutic indications

This medicine is indicated for the treatment of temporary fatigue in adults (over 15 years of age).

Contraindications

Never take GCFORM, effervescent tablet in the following cases if you are allergic to any of the components of this medicine(see What does GCFORM, effervescent tablet contain?).

Precautions for use; special warnings

Be careful with GCFORM, effervescent tablet:

Warnings

Because of the possibility of insomnia, it is preferable to avoid taking this medication after 4 p.m.

Due to the presence of sucrose, this medicine should not be used in patients with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency (rare metabolic diseases).

Due to the presence of maltodextrin (source of glucose), this medicine should not be used in cases of glucose and galactose malabsorption syndrome.

Precautions for use

This medicine contains 616 mg of sodium per tablet: take this into account in people on a strict low-salt diet.

Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicine, including enoxacin (antibiotic), even if it is obtained without a prescription.

Pregnancy and lactation

The use of this medicine should generally be avoided during pregnancy. If you discover that you are pregnant during treatment, consult your doctor, as only he or she can decide whether to continue the treatment.

3. HOW TO TAKE GCFORM, effervescent tablet

Dosage

RESERVED FOR ADULTS (OVER 15 YEARS).

2 tablets per day in 2 doses, 1 tablet in the morning and 1 tablet at noon. Avoid taking after 4 pm.

If you feel that the effect of GCFORM, effervescent tablet, is too strong or too weak, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

How to take it

Take by mouth.

Dissolve the tablet completely in a glass of water.

Duration of treatment

The duration of treatment is limited to 4 weeks.

Symptoms and instructions in case of overdose

If you have taken more GCFORM effervescent tablets than you should have, tell your doctor or pharmacist.

Instructions in case of missed dose(s)

If you forget to take GCFORM Effervescent Tablet: do not take a double dose to make up for the one you forgot to take.

Risk of withdrawal syndrome

4. WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?

Description of side effects

Like all medicines, GCFORM effervescent tablets may have side effects, although not everyone is susceptible:

  • - Possible insomnia, nervousness, heart palpitations.

If you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, or if any side effects become serious, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.

5. HOW TO USE GCFORM, effervescent tablet?

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Expiry date

Do not use GCFORM effervescent tablets after the expiry date stated on the box or pillbox.

Storage conditions

Store the tablets in the carefully closed pillbox, away from moisture, at a temperature not exceeding +30°C.

If necessary, warnings against certain visible signs of deterioration

Do not dispose of the medicine in the sewage system or in your household waste. Ask your pharmacist what to do with unused medicines. This will help protect the environment.

What does GCFORM effervescent tablet contain?

The active ingredients are:

Glucuronamide ................................................................................................................................. 400 mg

Ascorbic acid ............................................................................................................................. 500 mg

Caffeine ............................................................................................................................................. 50 mg

For one effervescent tablet.

Other components are:

Monosodium fumarate, sodium bicarbonate, sucrose, sodium cyclamate (E952), macrogol 6000, sodium hexametaphosphate, Gin-Fizz flavouring (contains, among other things, maltodextrin = source of glucose), sodium saccharin.
