This medication is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of non-organic colopathy (colon disease): diarrhea, constipation, meteorism (bloating due to gas accumulation).

Composition:

Karaya gum ................................ 4 g
Polyvinylpolypyrrolidone .............. 2 g
for a 10 g sachet

The active ingredients are:
karaya gum and polyvinylpolypyrrolidone.

The other components are:
shellac, saccharose, gelatine, gum arabic, talc, titanium oxide (E171), powdered compound flavouring n° 27864, for a 10 g sachet.

Noted effect excipient : saccharose (3.55 g per sachet).

Dosage
3 sachets per day in 3 doses

Mode and route of administration
Oral use.
At the beginning of meals, swallow the granules without chewing and then drink a little water.

Contraindications

Special precautions with POLY-KARAYA, granules:
Due to the presence of sucrose, this medicine should NOT BE USED in cases of fructose intolerance, glucose and galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency (rare metabolic diseases).

In cases of megacolon (dilatation of part or all of the large intestine), this medicine should be used with caution. This medicine contains 3.55 g of sucrose per sachet (maximum daily quantity of 10.65 g): take this into account in the daily ration in the event of a low sugar diet or diabetes.
