Despite the protection of the eyelid and eyelashes, eyelashes or foreign bodies such as dust, sand or other small particles may enter the eye, often blown in by the wind, or some undesirable liquids may be accidentally splashed into the eye. In all of these cases, eyewash is required.

Ophtaxia single-dose solution is a hygienic and convenient single-use device that allows you to wash the eye by dabbing it with a sterile pad, by bathing it with a spoon, or by direct application, by spraying the iodine solution directly into the eye. Ophtaxia is an ion-enriched eye wash without preservatives. It can be used on a daily basis for babies, children, adults and contact lens wearers.

The single dose is a sterile, single-use container that should be handled with care to avoid the risk of infection or superinfection.
It should also be discarded immediately after use.

Directions for use:

  • 1 to 6 washes or applications per day, as needed.
  • Wash hands thoroughly before use.
  • Avoid touching the eye or eyelids with the single-dose container.
  • In the case of combined treatment, do not instill a drop of Ophtaxia® and the eye drop(s) at the same time.
  • Use OPHTAXIA®, ophthalmic lavage solution either with a sterile compress, or as a direct jet wash, or as an eyewash with a single-use sterile eye cup that should be discarded after each use.
  • Contact lens wearers are advised to remove their lenses before eyewash.
