Indications:

The drug Fixical Vitamin D3 1000 mg / 800 IU, composed of calcium and vitamin D, is indicated in the elderly in case of calcium and vitamin D deficiency and in association with osteoporosis treatments when the intake of calcium and vitamin D is insufficient.

Description:

For one sucking tablet, there is 1000 mg of calcium as calcium carbonate and 800 IU of cholecalciferol (vitamin D3), as cholecalciferol, powdered form.

Other components are: Xylitol, povidone excipient K30, aspartam (E951), levomenthol, mint flavouring (contains sorbitol), talc, magnesium stearate, lactose monohydrate.

Fixical Vitamin D3 1000 mg / 800 IU is presented in boxes of 30 or 90 tablets to suck.

DOSAGE OF FIXICAL VITAMIN D3

The usual dosage is 1 sucking tablet per day.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS OF FIXICAL VITAMIN D3 1000 MG / 800 IU

Fixical Vitamin D3 is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to vitamin D or to one of the constituents, an abnormally high quantity of calcium in the blood, an exaggerated elimination of calcium by the urine, kidney stones (calcium lithiasis) and phenylketonuria (hereditary disease detected at birth), due to the presence of aspartam (E951).

It is recommended to take some precautions with Fixical VItamine D3 and to contact your doctor or pharmacist if necessary, in particular in the event of prolonged treatment, where a regular control of the quantity of calcium eliminated in the urine (calciuria) must be carried out, in the event of supplementary administration of calcium and vitamin D in high doses which must be carried out under strict medical supervision, in the case of combined treatment with sodium fluoride or biphosphonate, where it is advisable to wait two hours between taking these medicines and FIXICAL vitamin D3 1000 mg / 800 IU, and in the case of treatment with an antibiotic of the tetracycline family, where it is advisable to wait 3 hours.

It is advisable to inform your doctor or pharmacist of any medication you are taking, such as digitalis, tetracyclines, vitamin D, sodium fluoride, biphosphonates, diuretics, anti-epileptics, corticosteroids, even if it is a medicine obtained without prescription.

In case of sarcoidosis or renal insufficiency, galactosemia, glucose and galactose malabsorption syndrome or lactase deficiency (rare metabolic diseases), due to the presence of lactose and in case of fructose intolerance (hereditary metabolic disease) due to the presence of sorbitol, the intake of Fixical should be monitored and should be done under medical advice.

Because of the quantity of vitamin D present in Fixical Vitamin D3 1000 mg / 800 IU, this product is not indicated during pregnancy and breast feeding.
