HOW TO USE THE GYNECOLOGICAL SOLUTION BETADINE 10%
The use of Betadine 10% gynaecological solution requires prior medical advice, and it is imperative to strictly respect your doctor's prescription and indications.
Betadine 10% gynaecological solution can be used in 2 ways:
- Pure: internal or external application.
- Diluted: with a vaginal injection kit by diluting two tablespoons per litre of warm water.
The frequency of use will be adopted according to the pathology by following the prescription.
CONTRAINDICATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS WITH BETADINE 10% VAGINAL SOLUTION
The use of Betadine 10% Vaginal Solution is contraindicated in case of a history of intolerance or allergy to one of the constituents, in particular to povidone-iodine, or to other products containing povidone.
Do not use this medicine during breastfeeding and pregnancy, unless medically indicated, or in combination with mercury antiseptics.
Do not use Betadine 10% Vaginal Solution for prolonged periods. Indeed, the iodine in this medicine can pass through the mucous membrane and into the general circulation, especially when the mucous membranes are weakened.
Because of the risk of inactivation, Betadine 10% Vaginal Solution should not be used with spermicidal products
If you have had a reaction to iodinated contrast media or after eating iodized foods such as seafood, you can use Betadine 10% Iodine Solution.
