Ulcar 1 g oral suspension is recommended for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as for the prevention of duodenal ulcers.

In the event of healing of an evolving gastric ulcer, the recommended dosage of Ulcar 1 g is 1 sachet 4 times a day, i.e. :
1 sachet half an hour to an hour before each of the 3 main meals, and 1 sachet at bedtime (around 2 hours after the evening meal).
Dosage for healing duodenal ulcers can be divided into 2 possible treatment modalities:
1 sachet 4 times a day, i.e. 1 sachet half an hour to an hour before each of the 3 main meals, then 1 sachet at bedtime (around 2 hours after the evening meal).
Or 2 sachets morning and evening, i.e. 2 sachets in the morning on waking (half an hour to an hour before breakfast), and 2 sachets in the evening around 2 hours after the evening meal.
For the prevention of duodenal ulcer relapses, the dosage can also be divided into 2 possible treatment modalities:
1 sachet 2 times a day, i.e. 1 sachet in the morning on waking, half an hour to an hour before breakfast, and 1 sachet in the evening half an hour to an hour before the evening meal (or at bedtime, around 2 hours after the evening meal).
Or 2 sachets in the evening, half an hour to an hour before dinner, or at bedtime, around 2 hours after dinner.
Treatment duration for healing gastric or duodenal ulcers is 4 to 6 weeks.
Ulcar is not recommended for children and adolescents under the age of 14.
Contraindications of Ulcar 1 g gastric dressing
Ulcar 1 g should not be used in premature and immature newborn infants, or in cases of allergy to any of its components.
Use with caution in cases of chronic renal insufficiency or reduced phosphorus levels in the blood.
Ulcar 1 g oral suspension should be used within 2 hours of another drug, as sucralfate may reduce the effect of certain drugs if they are taken at the same time.
It is preferable not to use this medicine during pregnancy, while breast-feeding is not recommended due to the presence of sucralfate.
