This solution is applied pure and should not be rinsed off.
Usual dosage:
2 applications per day.
Our recommendations
The simple washing with soap and water can eliminate most germs, it must be followed by a careful rinsing because the soap can inactivate some antiseptics.
All antiseptics can be contaminated by germs: once opened, the bottle should not be kept unnecessarily.
When not to use this medicine
This medicine should not be used in the following cases:
- allergy to quaternary ammoniums ;
- when applied to mucous membranes, especially genital mucous membranes;
- in the eyes or in the ear canal (risk of toxicity in case of perforation of the eardrum);
- for the disinfection of medical-surgical equipment (see Warning).
Caution
Avoid prolonged use of this medicine, especially in children, on large or deeply injured surfaces, without the advice of your doctor: risk of passage of the drug into the bloodstream.
This antiseptic is not suitable for disinfecting scissors, razors and other potentially contaminating objects.
Drug Interactions
Combination with other antiseptics or soaps is not recommended as their effects may be cancelled out.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
The occasional use of this medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding does not seem to pose any particular problem.
This antiseptic should not be applied to the nipple without medical advice. Careful rinsing before feeding is essential.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Contact eczema.
Exceptionally: allergic reaction; chemical burn, if used before surgery in newborns.
