Description:

The active substance of Maginjectable is magnesium pidolate dosed at 10g per 100ml of solution, i.e. 81.4 mg per ampoule of magnesium element or 3.37 mmol. The formula is simply supplemented with water for injection.

Dosage :

The dosage will depend on the medical prescription. The solution is hypertonic and will be injected by slow IV or intramuscular injection.

Precautions for use :

Blood pressure should be monitored in case of intravenous administration or continuous infusion

In case of renal insufficiency, the dosage should be adjusted. Treatment with Maginjectable should be stopped as soon as the magnesium level in the blood returns to normal.

During pregnancy, only your doctor can decide whether or not to use this treatment. Its use during breast-feeding is not recommended.

Undesirable effects reported with Maginjectable are pain at the injection site, vasodilatation with a sensation of heat and a metallic taste in the mouth, and allergic reactions.
