Description:

Polaramine 2 mg helps to treat symptoms of rhinitis, hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis), allergic conjunctivitis, urticaria.

This allergy medication is intended for adults and children over 6 years of age.

DOSAGE:

In adults and children over 12 years of age: take 1 tablet of Polaramine 3 to 4 times daily.

In children between 6 and 12 years of age: take 1/2 tablet 2 or 3 times a day.

The tablets should be swallowed with a glass of water and taken at least 4 hours apart

Polaramine causes drowsiness, which is why it is preferable to start the treatment in the evening.

The duration of administration should be as short as possible. In the absence of improvement or in case of worsening of symptoms within 48-72h, a doctor should be consulted.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE:

This H1 antihistamine medication should not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the components present in the formula including the following excipients: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, pregelatinized corn starch, magnesium stearate.

Polaramine tablets are contraindicated if you have difficulty in urinating, whether or not of prostatic origin, or if you have angle-closure glaucoma.

Due to the presence of lactose, these allergy tablets should not be given to people with glucose or galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose and/or galactose malabsorption syndrome.

Polaramine requires medical advice before being taken by the elderly or patients with prostate problems, dizziness, constipation or drowsiness.

Polaramine should not be taken in combination with alcoholic beverages or any other substance or medication with a sedative effect.

On medical advice, it is possible to take this medicine during the first 2 trimesters of pregnancy. However, it should not be used during breastfeeding or the third trimester of pregnancy.

ADVERSE REACTIONS:

Allergic reactions may occur with Polaramine, a decrease in white blood cells or platelets, anticholinergic effects, drowsiness, etc...

Of course, these side effects do not apply to all patients and vigilance must be increased in the elderly.
