Saint Bernard baume 100g is a cream that relieves muscular or tendinous pain in cases of tears, contusions, sprains or tendonitis, for example. This medicine combines a cold, then warm effect, with an anti-inflammatory analgesic action.
Baume Saint Bernard: Information and indications
Baume Saint Bernard is an analgesic indicated for the adjunctive treatment of muscular and tendino-ligamentary pain in adults, more specifically tears, contusions, sprains and tendonitis.
Baume Saint-Bernard is a cream that relieves pain by combining 3 actions:
- a cold effect with an anaesthetic effect thanks to the presence of camphor and menthol,
- then a warming effect thanks to capsicum (a chili pepper extract),
- and finally an analgesic action thanks to amyl salicylate, an aspirin derivative, which provides local pain relief through its anti-inflammatory action.
This anti-pain ointment contains a salicylic compound, terpenes (camphor, levomenthol) and substances with a revulsive effect (stimulating blood flow). Its warming effect and analgesic properties help relieve pain.
Baume Saint Bernard can be used in cases of
- muscular contractures,
- painful aches and pains,
- tendinopathy,
- for people with painful joints (rheumatic conditions, for example),
- following a blow with contusions, bruises and/or bumps (but not open wounds),
- or in cases of torticollis or backache.
