The Biosynex Urinary Tract Infection Self-Test is an easy-to-use, reliable, do-it-yourself home test for urinary tract infections and cystitis. The rigid plastic urine strips feature 4 reagent zones and enable rapid monitoring of 4 parameters in urine: leukocytes, nitrites, blood and proteins.

Wash genitals gently but thoroughly with soap and rinse before testing.
Use the first morning's urine after letting it run for 1-2 seconds. Hold the strip so that the reactive areas remain under the urine stream for 1-2 seconds. Make sure all reactive zones have been impregnated with urine.
It is possible to urinate in a clean, dry bottle. In this case, fully immerse the reagent areas of the strip in urine and remove the strip immediately to avoid dissolving the reagents. When removing the strip from the urine, slide the edge of the strip against the rim of the urine container to remove any excess urine.
Hold the strip in a horizontal position and place it in contact with an absorbent cloth (e.g. paper towel) to prevent chemicals from adjacent reactive areas and/or dirty hands with urine from mixing.
Compare the reactive areas with the corresponding color blocks on the colorimetric scale. Hold the strip close to the color blocks and compare them (see chart in image or in leaflet).

Precautions for use
Do not freeze, do not expose to direct sunlight, store in a dry place between 2°C and 30°C. The test must be performed between 15°C and 30°C.
Do not use the self-test after the expiry date shown on the foil pouch and on the outside of the cardboard box. Keep the strips in their case until use. Permanent exposure of the test strip to air may destroy the reagents, leading to erroneous results. Do not touch the reagent areas on the strip.
Urine test only, do not use as a blood test.
For in vitro diagnostic use, not for internal use.
