Description Biosynex Gluten Autotest

The Biosynex Gluten Autotest is an easy-to-use, reliable, do-it-yourself home test for celiac disease. Celiac disease is a chronic disease of the small intestine accompanied by a multitude of symptoms, of varying intensity, such as flatulence, diarrhea, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, weight loss, headaches, chronic fatigue, eczema, sleep disorders, etc.

Following a gluten-free diet prior to the test may affect the reliability of the result.

Instructions for use Biosynex Gluten Autotest

After washing your hands, activate the blood circulation in the finger intended for sampling (massage, warm water or by letting your hand hang down, for example). This will improve the quality of the blood drop. Next, prick the finger with the lancing device provided, avoiding the fingertip and preferring the middle, ring or little finger of the non-steering hand (i.e. the left hand if you're right-handed). Squeeze the tip of the punctured area to make the drop of blood bead up, then place it in the cassette well using the capillary provided. Finally, apply the solvent and wait 10 minutes for the result to be read:

1 strip (zone C) = negative

2 strips (T and C zones) = positive

0 bars or 1 bar (zone T) = invalid test, a new test is required.

A negative result indicates that there are no anti-gliadin deamidated antibodies, thus ruling out the risk of celiac disease. If symptoms persist on a gluten-free diet, consult your doctor.

A positive result indicates the existence of anti-gliadin deamidated antibodies, and leads to a diagnosis with a high probability of celiac disease. It should be verified by histological analysis of the small intestine after biopsy. The test does not replace a doctor's diagnosis. Ask your doctor for advice on the suitability of a gluten-free diet.
