Description Bailleul Myconail medicated nail polish 3.3 ml bottle

Myconail is a nail varnish containing ciclopirox, an antifungal agent. This varnish will treat mild mycoses without matrix involvement in adults.

Other ingredients include : Ethyl acetate, 96% ethanol, cetostearyl alcohol, hydroxypropyl-chitosan and purified water.

Bottle size: 3.3 ml.

Myconail varnish is applied to the nails and 5 mm of immediately adjacent skin. The recommended dose is once-daily application to the infected nail(s) at bedtime.

Nails should be thoroughly washed and dried. Leave Myconail 80mg/g nail varnish to dry for around 30 seconds.

Treatment with Myconail varnish is lengthy and should be continued until the problem has disappeared. It takes around six months to treat finger nails and 9 to 12 months for toenails.

Precautions for use of Myconail varnish against nail fungus

Do not use Myconail varnish if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Cetostearyl alcohol may cause local skin reactions (contact dermatitis).

You should seek medical advice before using Myconail varnish if more than 75% of the nail surface is affected by mycosis, or if you have more than 5 affected nails, or if the nail matrix/lunule is diseased.

The same applies if you have a history of diabetes, immune dysfunction, peripheral vascular disease, wounds, painful or seriously damaged nails, skin diseases such as psoriasis or any other chronic skin pathology, edema, respiratory disorders, if you are diabetic, take care when cutting your nails.

Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes (e.g. mouth and nostrils).

Do not use nail polish or nail cosmetics on treated nails.
