Description

Dafalgan Caps 500 mg is an antipyretic and analgesic drug used to reduce fever and relieve pain. It is also indicated in case of dental pain, aches and pains, painful periods, headaches and flu-like conditions

Daflagan Caps contains paracetamol dosed at 500 mg and is presented in the form of capsules, the other components being gelatin, azorubin (E122) and titanium dioxide (E171).

Dosage of Dafaglan Caps 500 mg

This medicine is intended exclusively for adults and children weighing at least 27 kg, corresponding to approximately eight years of age. Its dosage is determined according to the weight of the patient, thus requiring the compulsory weighing before any administration. Except for medical advice, the daily dose should not exceed 60 mg per kg per day, divided into 4 to 6 doses of 15 mg per kg every 6 hours, or 10 mg per kg every 4 hours.

The capsules are taken orally with a large glass of water at mealtime.

Contraindications of Dafalgan Caps 500 mg

Precautions should be taken in case the medication of an already ongoing treatment contains paracetamol, in order to avoid overdose. Please consult a physician. On the other hand, it is not advisable to take this medication if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. The same applies if you have liver or kidney disease or if you are an alcoholic.

If you are pregnant or nursing, please seek medical advice. This medicine should not be given to children under 27 kg.
