Lysopaïne is indicated for the treatment of mild sore throats. Based on cetylpyridinium and lysozyme, Lysopaïne is available in boxes of 36 sugar-free, lemon-ginger-flavored sucking tablets.
Lysopaïne Citron Gingembre sans sucre 36 pastilles à sucer is a topical medicine containing a quaternary ammonium antiseptic and an enzyme.
It is used in the adjunctive treatment of mild sore throats without fever.
Directions for use Lysopaïne Lemon Ginger sugar-free 36 sucking lozenges
Allow tablets to melt slowly in the mouth, taking at least 2 hours apart.
Usual dosage:
Adults and children over 6: 3 to 6 tablets a day, spread evenly throughout the day.

Contraindications
This drug should not be used in children under 6 years of age.
Warnings
In the event of fever, discomfort when swallowing or persistence of symptoms after 5 days, consult your doctor. He or she will be able to tell the difference between pharyngitis and angina. In the case of bacterial angina, antibiotic treatment is necessary to avoid subsequent heart or kidney complications.
Prolonged use of local antiseptic treatments (gargle, mouthwash, lozenge) is not recommended, as it may alter the throat's natural microbial balance.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding
Little is known about the effect of this drug during pregnancy or breast-feeding. The risk associated with its use must be assessed on an individual basis: ask your pharmacist or doctor for advice.
