Indications:
Econazole Mylan 1% emulsion is an antifungal drug for topical use of the imidazole family. It is indicated in the treatment of skin, mucous membranes or nails diseases due to fungi: mycosis.

Econazole Sandoz L.P. 150 mg Extended-Release Ovule is a member of the family of anti-infectives (treatment of infections) and antiseptics for gynecological use.
Indicated in the local treatment of mycoses (conditions due to microscopic fungi) of the vulva and vagina sometimes superinfected
Never use Econazole Sandoz L.P. 150 mg Extended-Release Ovule:
- If you are allergic to micon nitrate, other similar antifungal drugs, or any of the other components of this medication
- In combination with a diaphragm or latex condom because of the risk of breakage
- In combination with spermicidal products (products used to destroy sperm), as it may render these products inactive
Econazole nitrate, galactomannan, colloidal anhydrous silica, solid hemisynthetic glycerides, stearyl enantate
The active substance is: econazole nitrate (150 mg for one sustained release ovule).
In most cases, 1 ovule in the evening at bedtime, as a single administration
Insert the ovule deeply into the vagina, preferably in a lying position. The easiest way to do this is to lie on your back with your knees bent and spread apart.
In some cases, your doctor may prescribe an egg at night and an egg the next morning.
Practical advice:
- Wash your hands thoroughly before and after administering the product.
- Wash with a neutral or alkaline soap.
- Use your own towels (glove, towel), so as not to contaminate those around you.
- Wear cotton underwear.
- Avoid douching.
- Avoid wearing periodical tampons during treatment.
- Do not stop treatment during your period.
- Your doctor will decide if you need to treat your sexual partner as well or if you need a topical antifungal medication.
Econazole Sandoz L.P. should only be administered vaginally. This medication should not be swallowed.
Local treatment of fungus is only one part of the overall treatment. To avoid relapses, it is essential that your doctor check for favourable factors.
Do not use acidic soap for local hygiene (acidity encourages the proliferation of fungi).
This treatment can cause local burning, irritation and increased itching. If the symptoms persist beyond 24 to 48 hours, consult your doctor.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or may take any other medication, including medication obtained without a prescription.
This medication should only be used during pregnancy on the advice of your doctor. If you discover that you are pregnant during treatment, consult your doctor, as only he or she can decide whether to continue the treatment.
Breast-feeding is possible while taking this medicine, but caution should be exercised.
If you forget to use Econazole Sandoz L.P. 150 mg Extended-Release Ovule: Do not take a double dose to make up for the one you forgot to take.
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, but not everyone gets them. Common side effects: itching (pruritus), burning sensation on the skin
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
