Description:
Per 100g of emulsion for dermal application: econazole nitrate................................... 1g
Other components are: Polyoxyethylene glycol 300 and 1500 and ethylene glycol stearates, light liquid kerosene, oleic macrogolglycerides, perfume PCV 1676 [contains in particular butylhydroxytoluene (E321)], benzoic acid (E210), colloidal anhydrous silica, butylhydroxyanisole (E320), purified water.
Dosage:
The emulsion is used by cutaneous way and is applied to the affected and peripheral zones morning and evening, on a clean and dry skin. It is necessary to proceed to a massage until complete penetration of the emulsion
The bottle must be shaken before use.
The duration of the treatment is from 2 to 4 weeks according to the type of mycosis but can be prolonged in the event of mycosis of the nails.
Contra-indications:
In case of allergy to econazole, related substances (imidazoles) or to any of the other components of this medication.
This emulsion should not be applied near the eyes and should not be swallowed.
If swallowed, consult your physician and rinse with clear water or saline solution in case of accidental application.
Do not use acidic soaps to clean the skin because acidity promotes the multiplication of Candida. This medication contains butylated hydroxyanisole (E320), butylated hydroxytoluene (E321) and benzoic acid (E210) which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. eczema) or irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes
Tell your doctor if you are taking oral anticoagulants, such as warfarin or acenocoumarol, as well as if you are taking other medications.
The emulsion cannot be used during pregnancy, but if your doctor considers it necessary, it can be used during breastfeeding.
