Directions for use Nicorette Spray 1 mg spearmint

To spray, press firmly on the top of the dispenser. Be careful not to inhale when spraying, so that the spray does not penetrate the respiratory tract. To improve results, avoid swallowing for a few seconds after spraying.

This medication is for adults only (18 years and over)

Start with 1 or 2 sprays at regular smoking times, or when you feel a strong urge to smoke. If the first spray does not relieve the urge to smoke after a few minutes, spray a second time. If 2 sprays are required, subsequent doses may comprise 2 consecutive sprays. However, 2 sprays per dose or 4 sprays over 16 hours is not recommended, the maximum dose being 64 sprays over 16 hours in a 24-hour period.

Contraindications of Nicorette Spray menthe fraîche

Nicorette Spray menthe fraîche is for smokers only, and should never be used by non-smokers.

In the case of certain pathologies, it is necessary to assess the benefit/risk ratio of Nicorettespray with your doctor:

Cardiovascular diseases: dependent smokers with a recent history of myocardial infarction, unstable or worsening angina, particularly Prinzmetal's angina, severe cardiac arrhythmias, stroke and/or uncontrolled hypertension should be encouraged to stop smoking by non-pharmacological means (e.g. a support program). If this fails, oral spraying may be considered; however, due to the limited data on safety in this patient group, this can only be done under close medical supervision.

Diabetes: patients suffering from diabetes are advised to monitor their blood sugar levels more closely when they stop smoking and nicotine replacement therapy is introduced, as the release of catecholamines induced by reduced nicotine intake may affect carbohydrate metabolism.

Allergic reactions: sensitivity to angioedema and urticaria.

Renal and hepatic insufficiency: use with caution in patients with moderate to severe hepatic insufficiency and/or severe renal insufficiency, as clearance of nicotine and its metabolites may be reduced, which may increase the risk of adverse reactions.

Pheochromocytoma and uncontrolled hyperthyroidism: use with caution in patients with uncontrolled hyperthyroidism or pheochromocytoma, as nicotine induces catecholamine release.

Gastrointestinal disorders: in patients suffering from esophagitis or gastric or peptic ulcers, nicotine may exacerbate symptoms, and oral nicotine replacement therapy should be used with caution.

Convulsions: use with caution in subjects on anticonvulsant therapy or with a history of epilepsy, as convulsions have been reported in association with nicotine (see Adverse Reactions).
