Directions for use Nicotinell 4 mg Mint Freshness Sugar-free 96 Chewing Gums
The initial dose is 8 to 12 gums a day, as needed, up to 15 gums a day. Do not exceed 12 months' treatment.
Do not chew Nicotinell gums like conventional chewing gum. Nicotine must be released gradually, so chew the gum slowly and discontinuously. This will help avoid heartburn and hiccups. When the taste of the gum becomes stronger and more pungent, place the gum between your cheek and gum until the tingling sensation subsides, then chew again, repeating the operation over a period of around 30 minutes.
To avoid diminishing the effect of the treatment, avoid eating or drinking (except plain water) during and for 15 minutes before taking medicated chewing gum.
