Pig ointment is a keratolytic medicine. It is recommended in the local treatment of corns, calluses, warts and partridge eyes.
The Cochon ointment contains 50 salicylic acid for 100 g of ointment. The excipient is beef tallow.
The Pig ointment is used locally by cutaneous way on the lesion to be treated.
Every evening, after a warm bath, intended to soften the skin, it is necessary to coat carefully the zone to be treated, without overflowing on the healthy skin (you can protect this one using a plaster). Then cover with a bandage at night.
Precautions for use of the Cochon ointment
Cochon ointment should not be used in case of allergy to one of the constituents.
It should not be applied on a horn or an infected lesion, on a large area, nor on the mucous membranes.
This product is caustic, be careful not to spill outside the affected area.
Do not use Cochon Ointment without prior medical advice in case of arteritis, diabetes or neuropathy.
In the event of failure of the treatment, you must consult your doctor.
In case of recurrence, it is necessary to look for a cause or to consider a specialized consultation in order to correct the supports (modification of the shoes...)
