For superficial 2nd degree burns :
Hold the wound under cold water for 15 minutes to limit the spread of the burn.
In all cases :
1. Clean the wound with an alcohol-free antiseptic.
2. Rinse with water or saline solution.
3. In the case of burns, never use colored antiseptics such as eosin.
4. Dry carefully with a sterile compress.
5. As far as possible, respect the blister as a bulwark against infection. If it breaks, disinfect it. There's no point in removing dead skin if it doesn't go away on its own.
6. Remove the protective fins.
7. Apply to treatment area.
8. There's no need to use a cream beforehand.
9. The usual duration of treatment is 5 to 6 days, with renewal of the 1st dressing after 24 hours, then every 48 hours.
