Aciclovir Biogaran 5% fever blister 2 g tube is an antiviral medication used to treat infections caused by herpes viruses, such as herpes labialis and genital herpes, as well as chickenpox and shingles.

The herpes virus remains dormant in the nerves of the face after an initial infection. It can be reactivated at any time by certain triggers, such as stress, fatigue, hormonal changes (e.g. during menstruation), excessive exposure to sun or wind, infections such as colds or flu, a weakened immune system, etc.

The herpes virus is highly contagious, especially during periods when fever blisters are visible. It is transmitted mainly by direct contact with lesions, but also through bodily fluids such as saliva. It's important not to touch the lesions to avoid spreading the virus, and to wash your hands frequently. The use of antivirals such as aciclovir can help reduce the severity and duration of the rash, and prevent recurrences.
