Sulfarlem in tablets is a medicine from EuroGenerics laboratories intended to treat problems of difficult digestion, but also hyposialia, i.e. lack of saliva.

Sulfarlem is a medication in the form of coated tablets which allows to treat people suffering from hyposialia or too dry mouth, generally due to a deficit of saliva secretion linked to ageing. Sulfarlem tablets are also used to treat the symptoms of dyspeptic disorders, which are disorders related to the digestive process.

Sulfarlem tablets can be prescribed to treat hyposialia related to a drug treatment or following radiotherapy.

Councils of use Sulfarlem 12,5 mg 60 tablets

The active ingredient in Sulfarlem tablets is anetholtrithione, dosed at 12.5 mg or 25 mg per coated tablet depending on the presentation chosen. Sulfarlem 12.5 mg tablets are only intended to treat lack of saliva, while Sulfarlem S25 mg tablets are used to treat lack of saliva and lack of tears (lacrimal insufficiency).

The dosage for Sulfarlem should be adjusted according to the drug's presentation and the patient's profile. :

For Sulfarlem 12.5 mg in adults: 1 to 2 tablets, 3 times daily.

For Sulfarlem 12.5 mg in children: 10 to 15 years: 3 tablets per day / 6 to 10 years: 2 tablets per day.

Sulfarlem 12.5 mg tablets should be taken about 30 minutes before meals.

For Sulfarlem S 25 mg: 1 tablet 3 times a day with meals. As the therapeutic effect only becomes apparent after a few days of treatment, the effective dosage can be adapted according to the results obtained.

Composition

Anethole trithione: 12.50 mg (p cp)

Excipients : lactose monohydrate, gum arabic, wheat starch, saccharose, guar gum, hydrated colloidal silica, magnesium stearate. Coating : gelatin, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), orange yellow S (E110), carnauba wax.

Excipients with notorious effect : wheat starch, saccharose, lactose, orange yellow S (E110).
