Indications:

Transulose oral jelly is a laxative used indicated in the treatment of constipation in adults.

It is the combination of an osmotic laxative: lactulose (35%) and a lubricating laxative: special solidified paraffin oil (64%) which is a mixture of petroleum jelly and liquid paraffin.

Description:

The excipients of this non-prescription medication are aspartam, cholesterol, lactic acid, Bixin oil, mandarin essential oil, lemon essential oil, sweet orange essential oil.

DOSAGE:

As an attack treatment, take 2 to 3 teaspoons of Transulose per day and then decrease to 1 to 3 teaspoons as a maintenance treatment.

The duration of treatment will depend on the symptoms observed.

The treatment of constipation should be accompanied by a global management: increased physical activity to stimulate intestinal transit and dietary changes: more water, fruit, green vegetables, fiber, etc...

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE :

In pregnant or breastfeeding women a medical opinion is preferable before taking this medicine.

Prolonged use of Transulose jelly can lead to malabsorption of fat-soluble vitamins, i.e. vitamins A, D, E and K.

This laxative medicine should not be taken if you are allergic to any of these constituents.

If you have a bowel disease such as Crohn's disease or rectocolitis or if you have an intestinal obstruction. If constipation is accompanied by severe pain or fever, you should not use Transulose without seeing your doctor. Do not use if you have a perforated bowel or phenylketonuria.

In people who are lying down, who have difficulty swallowing or who suffer from gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Transulose should be used with caution because of the risk of passage into the bronchial tubes and respiratory problems (lipoid pneumonia)

This laxative should be used with caution in patients with kidney or liver disease and in patients treated with diuretics.
