Description:

Traditionally used for the temporary relief of sore throats and/or temporary hoarseness.

Pharmacotherapeutic class:

Precautions and warnings :

  • If your doctor has informed you of an intolerance to certain sugars, contact him or her before taking this medication.
  • Take care with ACTIVOX SWEET HONEY LEMON, lozenge sweetened with sorbitol:

    Special warnings
    If the symptoms do not improve, consult your doctor.
    This medicine should not be used in patients with fructose intolerance (a rare hereditary disease).
    Due to the presence of sorbitol, this medicine may cause mild digestive disorders (diarrhoea).
    Caloric value 2.6 kcal-g of sorbitol.

Pregnancy and Nursing :

  • There are insufficient data on the safety of this drug during pregnancy and lactation. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, it is preferable not to take this medicine without medical advice.
    Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.

Composition:


Active ingredients:
Erysimum (aqueous dry extract of flowering tops of) on maltodextrin ................................................... 24 mg
Matricaria (hydroalcoholic dry extract (30% m-m) of flowering tops of) on maltodextrin ............................... 12 mg
For one lozenge.

Other substances: Gum arabic, maltodextrin, citric acid, lemon flavour*, honey flavour**, sorbitol.
*Composition of lemon flavouring: lemon essential oil, orange essential oil, lime essential oil, grapefruit essential oil, d-limonene, citrals, nerol, geraniol, linalool, geranyl acetate.
**Composition of honey flavouring: monopropylene glycol, benzyl alcohol, vanillin, phenylacetic aldehyde, isobutyl phenylacetate, beeswax

Directions for use :

  • Dosage
    Reserved for adults and children from 6 years.
    Adults: 4 to 6 lozenges per day.
    Children from 6 years: 2 to 3 lozenges per day.

    Method of administration
    Oral way. Let the lozenge melt in the mouth, without chewing.
    Frequency of administration
    Spread the doses over the day.
    Always follow the dosage indicated by your doctor. In case of doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

In case of overdose:

  • If you have taken more ACTIVOX SWEET HONEY LEMON, sorbitol-sweetened lozenge than you should have:
    Please inform your pharmacist or doctor.

If you miss one or more doses :

  • If you forget to take ACTIVOX SWEET HONEY LEMON, sorbitol-sweetened lozenge:
    Do not take the double dose to make up for the dose you forgot to take.

Storage conditions :

  • Store at a temperature below 25°C.

Contraindications:

  • Never take ACTIVOX SWEET HONEY LEMON, lozenge sweetened with sorbitol in the following cases:
    - Children under 6 years
    IF IN DOUBT, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO ASK THE ADVICE OF YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST.

Possible interactions :

  • If you are taking or have recently taken any other medication, including medication obtained without a prescription, talk to your doctor or pharmacist

Unwanted effects:

Like all medicines, ACTIVOX SWEET HONEY LEMON, sorbitol-sweetened lozenge is likely to have side effects, although not everyone is susceptible.
Excessive consumption may cause mild gastrointestinal disturbances (bloating, transient diarrhoea)
