Description:
The antiseptic contained in Hexomedin belongs to the family of diamidines. For 100 ml of solution, Hexomedin contains 0.10 g of hexamidine diistionate, through bottles of 45 or 250 ml.
Other components are alcohol, acetic acid, sodium acetate, purified water.
DOSAGE OF HEXOMEDIN SOLUTION
Hexomedin is applied to the skin, used pure, as a wet dressing or as a local bath, 2 to 3 times a day. Hexomedin can also be used as a spray and does not require rinsing after application.
Following its opening, microbial contamination may develop, so avoid keeping the bottle of Hexomedin too long.
CONTRAINDICATIONS OF HEXOMEDINE SOLUTION
Hexomedin cannot be used for antisepsis before sampling (puncture, injection), for disinfection of medical-surgical equipment, in case of allergy to hexamidine derivatives and must not be applied to mucous membranes. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice if you have any doubts about the use of Hexomedin.
Hexomedin should not be used on a large surface, a burn, in infants and premature babies. Similarly, the use of several antiseptics at the same time as Hexomedin may lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of the latter.
In case of pregnancy and breastfeeding, the use of Hexomedin must be done under the advice of his doctor or pharmacist, it is therefore to use with caution
